JAMB cut-off marks 2026/2027
Three different numbers get called the cut-off. Here they are kept apart, each with where it came from.
1. National minimum (JAMB)
Set at JAMB’s policy meeting on 11 May 2026. This is the lowest score a school may consider. It is a floor, not a target.
- Universities150 / 400
- Colleges of nursing150 / 400
- Polytechnics and monotechnics100 / 400

2. Each university’s own screening score
The minimum UTME score a school sets for its own screening. It is higher than the national minimum at many schools, and it can differ by programme. Only rows we have checked against the school’s own notice are listed.
3. The course cut-off
The score that actually got admitted into a course in a given year, after screening. For competitive courses such as Medicine, Law and Nursing it is usually far above the school’s screening score, and it changes every year. AdmitMe shows a course cut-off only when the school has published one, and never as a promise.
